今回は、熊本県芦北町吉尾にある「湧泉閣（ゆうせんかく）」を訪れました。
吉尾川の渓谷沿いにひっそりと佇む、知る人ぞ知る秘湯温泉です。
令和2年の熊本豪雨で甚大な被害を受け、一時は営業の継続も危ぶまれましたが、地域の方々の温かい支えにより、見事に復活を遂げました。
現在は、内湯のみの日帰り入浴で営業されています。
お湯はぬるめでやさしく、肌に吸い付くようなツルツル感。心身ともに癒されるひとときでした。
This time, we visited Yusenkaku in Yoshio, Ashikita Town, Kumamoto Prefecture.
It is a hidden hot spring along the Yoshi River valley that only those in the know are familiar with.
It suffered severe damage from the Kumamoto heavy rains in 2020, and at one point, its continued operation was in doubt. However, thanks to the warm support of the local community, it has made a remarkable recovery.
Currently, it is open for day-use baths with only indoor baths available.
The water is mild and gentle, with a smooth, silky texture that feels like it’s clinging to the skin.
It was a moment of true relaxation for both body and mind.
