今回は、板室温泉「水清館」さんに行ってきました。
板室温泉は栃木県那須塩原市にあります。
那珂川上流の山あいにあり、古くから那須七湯の一つに数えられ、温泉の効能から「下野の薬湯」と呼ばれています。

その板室温泉郷の中にある水清館は、昔ながらの小さな温泉民宿。
情緒あふれる佇まいで、家族で営むアットホームな空間です。
決して派手さはありませんが、何とも癒されます。

お湯は源泉掛け流しで、アルカリ性の肌馴染みのいいお湯。
男女別の内湯と貸切露天風呂が1つあります。

内湯はタイル張りの昔ながらの浴室。
レトロな雰囲気があって好きです。
湯加減もちょうど良く、ゆっくり浸かることができました。

「長寿湯」と呼ばれる露天風呂は、手作り感のある貸切の露天風呂。
人がいなければどなたでも貸切で利用できます。
石造りの湯船で源泉がドバドバ流れています。
元々目隠しのための柵がもう少し低かったらしいのですが、
今は柵が高くなっており露天風呂とは言い難いような雰囲気になっています。
これはこれで面白い。

湯上がり後、子供たちがダンスを教えてくれました♪
可愛くて、とても癒された〜。
笑顔が溢れ、心温まる温泉民宿でした。

This time, we visited Itamuro Onsen “Suiseikan”.
Itamuro Hot Spring is located in Nasushiobara City, Tochigi Prefecture.
Located in the mountains upstream from the Naka River, it has long been one of the seven hot springs of Nasu and is called “Shimono no Yakuyu” (the “medicinal hot spring of Shimono”) for the efficacy of its hot springs.

Suiseikan, located in Itamuro Hot Spring Village, is a small, traditional hot spring guest house.
It is a homey place run by a family with a nostalgic atmosphere.
It is not fancy, but it is very relaxing.

The hot spring water is free-flowing and alkaline, and is very soothing to the skin.
There are separate indoor baths for men and women and one private open-air bath.

The indoor bath is a traditional tiled bathroom.
I like the retro atmosphere.
The water is just the right level and I was able to soak in it slowly.

The open-air bath called “Choujyu-yu” is a private open-air bath with a handmade atmosphere.
Anyone can use it as a private bath as long as there is no one else there.
The bathtub is made of stone, and the source of the spring water is flowing in torrents.
Originally, the fence for the blindfold was a little lower, but now the fence is higher and the bath is open to the public.
Now the fence is higher and the atmosphere is such that it is hard to call it an open-air bath.
This is interesting.

After the bath, children taught me how to dance.
It was cute and very soothing.
It was a heartwarming hot spring guest house full of smiles.
