これから10月中旬〜11月上旬が紅葉の時期。
とても綺麗な景観を拝めます。

今回は、栃木県のある日光国立公園・奥鬼怒温泉郷「八丁湯」（はっちょうゆ）に行ってきました。
奥鬼怒温泉郷は、関東地方の最奥にある秘境の温泉郷。
全部で４つの温泉宿（加仁湯、手白澤温泉、日光澤温泉、八丁湯）があり、「秘湯の四天王」と呼ばれています。

こちらの温泉郷に行くには、女夫渕駐車場（無料）に車をとめて、90分ほどのトレッキングが必要となります。
想像よりハードな道のりなので、装備は必須です。
※宿泊の場合、送迎してくれる宿もあります。事前に確認お願いします。

八丁湯は奥鬼怒温泉郷の中でも、一番手前にあるロッジ風な建物の温泉宿。
100%自然湧出のかけ流し温泉で、
大自然の中にある広い混浴露天風呂が醍醐味。
湯は無色透明で、湯の花が浮いています。
野天風呂「雪見の湯」や「滝見の湯」「石楠花の湯」の３つの混浴露天風呂、「滝見露天風呂」（女性専用）があり、すぐ横には湯滝が流れているなど、自然そのままのダイナミックな景観を楽しむことができます。

全体的に温かみのある施設で、とても綺麗でした。
レストラン、カフェ、バーなどもあり、お腹が空いてらお食事もできます。※時間要確認

お部屋もログハウスと和室があり、魅力的なので、次はぜひ宿泊で利用させていただきたいと思います。

[泉質] 《中性低張性高温泉》
中性のためお湯が柔らかく、刺激が少ないです。
また低張性なので、身体への負担が少ないです。

This time, I visited Hatcho-no-Yu in Oku-Kinu Onsenkyo, Nikko National Park, located in Tochigi Prefecture.
Oku-Kinu Onsenkyo is a secluded hot spring resort located in the farthest reaches of the Kanto region.
There are four hot spring inns in total (Kanin-yu, Te Shirasawa-onsen, Nikko-zawa-onsen, and Hatcho-yu), and they are called the “Four Heavenly Kings of Secret Hot Springs”.

To get to this hot spring resort, you need to park your car at the (free) parking lot of Meotobuchi and trek for about 90 minutes.
It is a harder trek than you might imagine, so equipment is a must.
If you are staying at an inn, there are some lodges that will pick you up and drop you off. Please check in advance.

Hacchoyu is a hot spring inn with a lodge-like building at the very front of Oku-Kinu Onsenkyo.
It is a 100% natural hot spring.
The best part is the large mixed bathing outdoor bath in the middle of nature.
The hot spring water is colorless and transparent, with hot water flowers floating on the surface.
There are three mixed bathing outdoor baths, “Yukimi-no-yu”, “Takimi-no-yu”, and “Rhododendron-no-yu”, as well as a “Takimi-roten-buro” (for women only), where you can enjoy the dynamic scenery of nature as it is, with a waterfall flowing right next to you.
It really was like entering another world…

Overall, the facility was warm and very clean.
There are also restaurants, cafes, and bars where you can grab a bite to eat if you get hungry. Check the hours.

There are also log cabins and Japanese-style rooms, which are very attractive.
