今回は宮城県大崎市 鬼首温泉郷 吹上温泉 「峯雲閣」に行ってきました。

鬼首（おにこうべ）は、宮城県大崎市鳴子温泉郷の奥にある美しい大自然の中の温泉郷です。
その中でも、吹上温泉「峯雲閣」は最奥の間欠泉に近い場所にあります。

名物の滝壺露天風呂。
地獄谷から湧き、そのまま川となって流れる
大迫力の天然湯滝が楽しめます。
そばには2〜30人ほど入れる岩造りの混浴露天風呂もあります。
10月〜5月あたりは滝の温度が低く、入れない時期もあるので
電話で確認することをお勧めします。

泉質はアルカリ性単純泉で、体に負担のない長く浸かれるお湯です。

旅館の近くには、鬼首温泉の秘境といわれる
「吹上地獄谷遊歩道」があります。

吹上沢に沿って温泉が両岸10数箇所にわたって自噴し、
湯気が漂う地獄のような遊歩道。
遊歩道のすぐに脇にもあちらこちらで高温の温泉が噴出しています。
遊歩道脇で噴出している温泉はどれも約80度と高温のため、
やけどには注意してください。

温泉卵が作れる「卵湯」もあるので、
ぜひ訪れる際には生卵を持って行くのが良いでしょう♪

This time we visited “Hounkaku” in Fukiage Onsen, Onikobe Onsenkyo, Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture.

Onikobe is a hot spring resort located in the beautiful natural environment deep within the Naruko Hot Spring Village in Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture.
Among them, Fukiage Onsen “Hounkaku” is located at the far end, near the geyser.

The famous waterfall open-air bath.
The water springs from the hell valley and flows directly as a river.
You can enjoy the powerful natural hot waterfall.
There is also a mixed bathing open-air bath made of rocks that can accommodate 2 to 30 people.
The temperature of the waterfall is low from October to May, so it is not always possible to enter the baths.
It is recommended to call to confirm.

The water is alkaline simple spring water, which is easy on the body and can be soaked in for a long time.

Near the ryokan is the “Fukiage Jigokudani Trail,” which is said to be one of the best-kept secrets in Onikobe Onsen.
The “Fukiage Jigokudani Trail” is located near the ryokan.

Along the Fukiage stream, hot spring water gushes out over ten or so points on both banks.
The trail is like a hellish promenade with steam drifting in the air.
Hot springs are gushing out here and there along the side of the promenade.
The hot springs gushing out along the boardwalk are all about 80 degrees Celsius, so be careful not to burn yourself.

There is also an “egg bath” where you can make hot spring eggs.
It is a good idea to bring a raw egg with you when you visit.

*Women are requested to bring their own bath towels as the open-air baths are mixed.
