今回は福島県田村市にある聖石温泉に行ってきました。

こちらの聖石温泉。
読み方が「ひじりいし」と読むんです。
ずっと「せいせき」と呼んでいた…（漢字苦手です。）

この地域に昔「見ザル聞かザル言わザル」と彫られた大きな石（聖石）あり、その名が地名の由来となり、こちらの温泉の名前はその地名にちなんでつけられたそう。

お出迎えしてくれたのは、
とても美人な若女将さんと数匹の猫たち。
彼女は、地元が大好きで、
この田村氏の魅力を伝えたいと自ら帰省し、
温泉の若女将以外にも、
田村市の観光キャンペーンクルーに就任しているそうです。
初めてお会いした時もとても親切に対応してくださって、
華奢な体に対して太い芯の強さを感じるイメージがありました。

館内の壁には、旅人のコメントがたくさん。
どうやら、自転車やバイクで日本一周している旅人の方の聖地だそうです。
さらに聞くと、入浴料を払うと、
敷地内にあるキャンプ場「聖石ベースキャンプ 」(お父さんの趣味)が
無料で使えるようです。
旅人にとっては宿泊先探しがとても困難なので、嬉しいですね。

陽気な音楽が流れる廊下を渡り、いざ温泉へ。
こちらの温泉は黄金色で、とても神秘的。
また温度がちょうど良く、ずっと入っていられます。

温泉は、含鉄泉(がんてつせん)で主成分は鉄分で茶褐色ですが、
源泉は無色透明で空気に触れると酸化し茶褐色になるそうです。

筋肉痛や腰痛などに効くそうで、
旅の疲れた身体を癒すことができました。

地元の方からも愛され、
また娘さんの集客力で他県からも多くの方が
こちらの温泉を訪れている様子でした。
アットホームで、優しく出迎えてくれる心温まる温泉です。
